Members play a crucial role in ensuring effective governance across our Trust family of schools. Members are volunteers and they ensure the Trust is exercising effective governance by utilising a range of powers including appointing and removing Trustees. 

Our Board of Trustees have collective accountability and responsibility for the Trust, assuring themselves that there is compliance with regulatory, contractual and statutory requirements. 

They champion a clear strategy for the Trust - aligning with the Trust’s charitable objects, covering all five pillars of trust quality, and set out the Trust’s aspirations for growth over time.

Trustees must apply the highest standards of conduct - adhering to the Seven Principles of Public Life (Nolan Principles), our Batley Ethical Leadership Charter, ensure robust governance and effective financial management. 

Governors play a key role in our Governance Structure.

They support and champion the Trust’s vision and values, act as a critical friend and model the highest standards of conduct by adhering to the Seven Principles of Public Life (Nolan Principles) and our Batley Ethical Leadership Charter.

Our Governors are 'custodians of culture' and the 'caretakers' of promoting and celebrating our school’s uniqueness.
