Working in partnership with a range of schools across West Yorkshire, the Yorkshire Rose Teaching Partnership delivers bespoke training packages to candidates on the PGCE & QTS routes, Primary and Secondary Teaching Apprenticeships, HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) career pathways as well as general Apprenticeship and other adult education training courses. This is an extension of our ‘grow our own’ policy by which we ensure that we identify and train teachers and other school staff whose values match ours and whose talents we are keen to employ.
We are a key branch of the Batley Multi Academy Trust and align with its visions and values; committed to providing the highest standard of education for the learners in diverse and relatively disadvantaged urban communities across the region.
We work with a range of training institutions including Trinity Institute of Education, Leeds Beckett University, Leeds Trinity University and a range of local schools. We also work with Exceed SCITT, graded as outstanding, on the Primary Apprenticeship teaching route as well as the new secondary PGCE courses. We are a key strategic partner of the Calderdale and Kirklees Teaching School Hub, helping deliver 'Golden Thread' ECT & NPQ training for teachers and other staff in schools.
From September 2024, our PGCE provision has changed, in line with changes to the national initial teacher training landscape. Nationally the option for School Direct no longer exists so we have teamed up with the Trinity Institute of Education to offer the highest quality primary and secondary PGCE courses. More detailed information about our 2025 PGCE courses can be found here.
Recruitment for September 2025 is now open. Find out more about how to apply.
