Batley Multi Academy Trust

The Trust at the heart of the Batley community

Our Community Work

We pride ourselves on being the Trust at the heart of the Batley community, as each and every one of our family of schools has a strong relationship with the surrounding community in which they are situated. We believe that community makes us and embrace the unity in community in the activities and events that take place throughout the year. Our schools are all within a 5 minute drive of each other, and we have excellent collaboration across our schools. We work closely with our parents and carers, and pride ourselves on strong relationships and a culture of mutual respect. Each of our schools has a Stronger Together (Parents and Carers Forum group), and parents and carers play a proactive role in their child’s education.

Our family of schools support a range of charities and our young people are very proactive in their community work both in terms of fundraising, volunteering and raising awareness. Our schools have school councils and they decide each year which charities they will support, and how they will support them.

Every year we support local charities such as Batley Food Bank; Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and the Jo Cox Foundation. No act of kindness is ever too small, or can ever be underestimated.

Community Makes Us and the unity in community is key.
