Batley Multi Academy Trust

The Trust at the heart of the Batley community

A blooming brilliant Great Get Together!

This weekend has been exceptionally busy, jam- packed with a host of fantastic community events. It began with the Batley Bake Off on Friday, then the Great Health & Wellbeing event on Saturday and the Run for Jo on Sunday. Learning doesn't start and stop at the school gates, and our staff and learners have been active in a range of events across the Batley community. The weather was also with us, with glorious sunshine every day.

Our staff, learners, parents/carers and governors have been amazing this weekend and many have volunteered their time so generously for the Great Get Together 2024, at what we know is a very busy time of year in schools.

The purpose of these events is not political, but about bringing people together to make new connections and celebrate the brilliant people who live and work in Batley, and our Trust family of schools being central to that, at the heart of the Batley community. The Great Get Together was inspired by Jo Cox, a true humanitarian who believed in the power of bringing people together and tackling the division we see in communities all around the world. Jo believed people have far more in common than that which divides them, and so do we!

All of these brilliant community events help to demonstrate just how committed our Trust family of school staff and learners are in supporting our local community, and the amazing people who live and work here. Well done to everyone for a great team effort. Community Makes Us, and the unity in community is key.
