Welcome back! We hope you have enjoyed the half term break. We wish all our learners every success in their remaining examinations and assessments this half term. Many of our young people have attended master classes over the half term break and are studying hard to achieve their goals. Their commitment is undeniable - good luck everyone! Thank you to staff who have given their time so generously to support our learners this half term. 

This week I would also like to praise the commitment of one of our learners from Batley Girls' High School. A fantastic young woman, whose family have suffered from the effects of Alzheimer's, has decided to be proactive and help fundraise for this important charity, and raise awareness of the disease and dementia across our community. This fantastic learner has organised a whole school fun run to raise awareness, and has set up a Just Giving page with the hope to raise £500. Before the fun run even takes place she is already over half way towards her target! Please donate if you can, every little helps. 

Our young people care passionately about their community and this is a perfect example of how the actions of one individual can have such a positive impact on so many. Well done Lola! We are enormously proud of you, and your proactive approach in helping others. The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is simply; that little bit extra!
