You've got this

This week we would like to wish all the Year 6 learners across our family of schools the very best of luck for their SATs this week. We know many of our young people will be feeling anxious and a little nervous this week. However, we also know many of our staff will be as well. Colleagues have worked so hard to prepare our young people, not just academically, but also pastorally throughout the turbulent times we have faced over the past two years with so many disruptions to education and school routines. These really have been unprecedented times.

Life is full of challenges and all you can ever do is your very best. Of all of the young people who have ever taken their SATs none of them have ever done so following such times of turbulence. Staff teams have never had to prepare young people in the way they have this year. TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More.

Our staff teams have all worked incredibly hard to prepare our young people for the SATs examinations, and the collective support across the whole team has been wonderful. As the African proverb states “It takes a village to raise a child” and the success of our young people rests not only with Year 6 teachers, but with the whole community. Colleagues who keep our schools open, clean, tidy and safe; colleagues who feed our young people; colleagues who offer support, guidance, intervention or tuition; colleagues who teach and lead; colleagues in our office and business teams and parents/carers. Everyone plays a huge role in ensuring the success of our young people in SATs and in life skills, in always being the best version of themselves. To all our Year 6 learners: You've got this, this is your time to shine!
